Living Room Gallery is delighted to open its doors with a superb set of prints by the spanish artist Nikita Rodriguez.
Nikita Rodriguez was born on a grey day, straddling Moscow, Madrid and Mexico City. Conceived in a spiral bound book, she has grown gradually, nurtured by the things that have happened to her and the friends who have accompanied her on her adventures.
Now with roots in Madrid, her work inhabits the spaces between fairytales and nightmares, with sweetness and gothic fear in equal parts. With an imagination fed with Russian folk tales, surrealist Mexican symbolism and raw Spanish emotion, her whimsical paintings, drawings and toys open a door into another world. To celebrate her debut show and the inauguration of Living Room Gallery, the artist has produced two signed and numbered prints in a limited edition of 130.
